Energy Renovation

Optimise your energy performance sustainably.

Energy Renovation

Thermal insulation, smart ventilation, solar panels... we support you in an eco-responsible, efficient and sustainable renovation. Reduce your bills while adding value to your property. In Luxembourg, energy renovation is a strategic investment: it improves your daily comfort and increases the value of your property.

Our process

1

Energy audit

Comprehensive analysis of your home: heat loss, insulation condition, heating and ventilation performance.

2

Renovation plan

Defining intervention priorities and detailed costing to optimise your budget.

3

Administrative steps

Obtaining authorisations if needed and coordinating with relevant bodies.

4

Carrying out the works

Implementation by our qualified teams: insulation, window replacement, ventilation or heat pump installation.

5

Inspection and certification

Verification of achieved performance, issue of the energy performance certificate and post-work follow-up.

Materials and techniques

We use high-performance insulation: rock wool, expanded polystyrene (EPS), sprayed polyurethane, and bio-based insulants (wood fibre, cellulose wadding). For windows, we install triple glazing with PVC or thermal-break aluminium profiles. Mechanical heat-recovery ventilation systems and air-to-water heat pumps complete our range of solutions.

Estimated timelines

An energy renovation project takes 3 to 8 weeks depending on the scope. Loft insulation takes 3 to 5 days, external wall insulation (EWI) 2 to 4 weeks, and window replacement 1 to 2 weeks.

Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of an energy renovation?

An energy renovation can reduce your heating bills by 30 to 60%, improve your thermal comfort in summer and winter, and significantly increase your property's market value.

How much can you save with an energy renovation?

Savings typically range from 30 to 60% on your heating bills. Complete insulation combined with window replacement and efficient ventilation can halve your energy consumption.

Where should you start with energy renovation?

The priority is usually roof insulation (30% of heat loss), then external walls, windows and finally the heating system. An energy audit determines the optimal sequence for your home.

Is external wall insulation suitable for Luxembourg?

Yes, EWI (External Wall Insulation) is a highly effective solution that eliminates thermal bridges without reducing living space. It may require municipal authorisation, which we handle for you.

How long do insulation materials last?

Modern insulation materials have a lifespan of 30 to 50 years. Rock wool and polystyrene maintain their thermal properties for several decades without any special maintenance.

Does SO Habitat handle administrative paperwork?

Yes, we handle administrative steps related to your project: municipal authorisation applications, coordination with relevant bodies and file follow-up.
