Estimated timelines
The duration of an interior renovation varies depending on the scope. Allow 1 to 2 weeks for a single room (bathroom, kitchen), 4 to 8 weeks for a complete apartment, and 2 to 4 months for a full house renovation. We provide a detailed schedule from the moment you sign the quote.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an interior renovation cost in Luxembourg?
The budget depends on the scope of work. A light renovation (painting, floors) starts at around 500 EUR/sqm, while a full renovation with structural changes ranges from 1,200 to 2,500 EUR/sqm. We provide a free, detailed quote after a site visit.
Do I need a permit for interior renovation in Luxembourg?
Interior works that do not alter the load-bearing structure or change the property's designated use generally do not require a permit. However, removing load-bearing walls or modifying the facade does require municipal authorisation. We advise you on the necessary steps.
Can I stay in the property during renovation?
For partial renovations (one room at a time), it is often possible to stay on-site. For a full renovation, we recommend temporary accommodation for 2 to 4 weeks during the most intrusive phases (demolition, dust).
What types of flooring do you offer?
We install all types of floor coverings: solid or engineered wood, high-resistance laminate, porcelain stoneware, LVT vinyl, and polished concrete. The choice depends on the room, its use and your budget.
How does SO Habitat coordinate the different trades?
We manage the entire project: a single point of contact coordinates plumbers, electricians, tilers, painters and carpenters. You have just one contact and a clear schedule.
Do you offer a warranty on interior renovation work?
Yes, all our work benefits from a one-year completion warranty and a ten-year structural warranty. We respond promptly to any issues raised after handover.
